Drunk Driving Suspect Drives Into Home

At 8:25 p.m. last night, emergency responders were dispatched to 124 Villa Way for a motor vehicle collision into a residence.  The vehicle left the roadway and drove through the residential duplex causing heavy structural damage to the 2 units.  Firefighters provided medical care to the driver, stabilized the vehicle, secured utilities, and provided scene lighting through the night.  Residents from both residents were uninjured and have been displaced by the incident.

Gillette Police Lieutenant Chuck Deaton said the incident began with a report of a drunk driver.  A Champbell County Sheriff’s Office deputy was pursuing the suspect at the time of the crash. The suspect was transported from the scene for medical care.
