On Saturday night at the Casper Events Center, the Campbell County High School boys and girls basketball teams both competed in the 4A state championship game.

A year after falling to Cheyenne East in the title game, the Lady Camels got payback, defeating the Lady Thunderbirds 65-41.

The Camel boys followed up with a 71-61 win over Sheridan, the fourth victory over their rivals this season.

Lady Camels head coach Mitch Holst joined 97.3 KAML FM at halftime of the boys game to discuss the latest championship for the Campbell County girls.

Then following a 43 point effort in the boys championship, Gatorade Player of the Year Trey Hladky joined 97.3 KAML FM to talk about the Camel boys’ title win over Sheridan.
