Lightning Starts House Fire

Press Release – On June 24 at 3:49 a.m., The Campbell County Fire Department responded to the to  Duffy Road for the report of a residential structure fire. The fire was caused by lightning striking an antenna on the roof of the residence. The strike traveled through the coax into the residence where it started a small fire. The homeowners extinguished the fire before evacuating the residence. Fire investigated the cause and searched the residence for any extension.
