Poem 1

Another Year Has Come
And Gone Still were
Here Together

The Ups & Downs,  The
Highs & Lows.  The
Stormy, Stormy, Weather

If Someone Asked Me
What It Was That
Made Us Pull It Through

The Only Word That
I Could Say Would
Simply Be  Just, YOU!!

Poem 2

30 years together now
since we said our wedding vows.

Never had a honeymoom
but we'll be together this afternoon.

So Settle Inn Suite-heart for a romantic night
of dinner and chocolate by candlelight.

As we celebrate another year
I wish you a Happy Anniversary Dear.

Poem 3

In the blink of an eye and beat of a heart
Life could be turned upside down and ripped all apart
But with you by my side and your love pure and true.
Whatever life throws at us we can surely make it through.
To you my sweetheart, my lover, my best friend.
I promise to love you with all my heart.
Til my time comes to an end.

Poem 4

I've been with this old cowboy
Goin' on some 58 years
We're still lovin' each other
Been alot more laughter than tears.

Poem 5

"A love so pure"
Our love is real, and blends together like a winter sunset
A love so pure like Romeo and Juliet
A love that real will always remain
True and pure and stay the same
But the day is new and times do change
As will the story of love in this day and age
And as the years go by like they always do
The love so pure people speak of
Will be me and you

Poem 6

Me and my man are
hand in hand.
We've been through stormy weather,
but always stayed together.
He's the love of my life,
so, I became his wife.
We are still newlyweds,
but. . .
crazy schedules equal
separate beds!
We really need to win
this stay at Settle Inn.
This is a great chance to rekindle,
please don't let the fire dwindle!

Poem 7

The knocking of my knees when you kiss me,
the message on my phone to say you miss me,
the way you say you love me,
the way you touch me ever so softly.

Poem 8

Sweetheart do you remember way back when,
Before our waist got thick and our hair got thin.
Youngsters talk about true love but they don't know,
Til its tested by time and had a chance to grow.
One of Gods greatest gifts on this earth,
Sixty years together has proven its worth.

Poem 9

Why do I want you?
It’s in the way you walk
Confidence and pride
It comes out when you talk
Making me want to stand by you

Your thoughts are complex
Not shallow like other beauties
They spark interest and perplex
Making me want hear more from you

You’re true your beliefs
Yet you force them on me not
And that’s a relief
Making me want to learn about you

You tempt and tease
Then play hard to get
Wanting me to try hard to appease
Making me want to be with you

You’re tall and attractive
With long soft hair
Your looks are seductive
Making me want to love you

Poem 10

My Sweetheart is the best by far, he cooks and bakes and cleans
He does the laundry and the floors and even irons my jeans.
Cuz he doesn’t have an “outside” job, for a kidney disease he has
and it’s off to dialysis 3 times a week and often “runs out of gas”.

My Sweetheart tells me every day, several times in fact,
“I love you” and “I miss you” and always “hurry back”.

My sweetheart always makes sure I know just how much he loves me
He puts me on a pedestal where I don’t deserve to be.
He calls me sexy and gorgeous too and tells me I’m not fat.
He’s so sweet to tell me so although I’m far from that.
But I’ll always know, no need to guess of what his feelings are
And that’s why I think he’s so sweet and why he’s the best by far.

Cancer now has come along, but no treatments he will take
Yet he still does not complain, the best of each day he makes
Now our time is winding down, but he makes sure that I know this.
Although he won’t be here for the rest of mine, he will love me for the rest of his.

Poem 11

U Are....
You are the suddenly to my unexpected
You are the reality to my sweetest dreams
You are the evidence that life is remarkable
You are the electricity in my current
You are the notes in my song
You are the providence in my future
You are the consequence to all my doubts and 'never's
You are the hand that holds my heart
You are the key that opens the beauty in my soul
You are the uncommon and wonderful element that authenticates love
You are the justification that perfect love is tangible

Poem 12

I’ve set about writing this poem just for you
My person so special, so loving, so true.

Both of us lonely and looking for more
Where could we go, for a date we could score?

Where do you find someone in life this late?
To the internet, they said, to find your date.

I registered myself at places galore
They all wanted tomboys, nothing more

Me? I was looking for someone to dance
And if we dance well, perhaps some romance

No picture for me was posted out there
I did not want persons to gawk and to stare

If a person could dance and they “profiled” that
Then their description (to me) would have feathered their hat

In searching through lines on the internet slate
I located a profile - First Date line was great!

“Wearing gorilla suits at a café while sipping tea,”
Oh my, how funny! That line was for me.

Exchanging our pictures, this was a must,
Attraction is part of going forward or bust

His pic was a winner, for as most of you know
No one wants to meet, with just any ol’ Joe

You shyly walked up toward my front door,
Smoothing your hair, would she like me for sure?

Although in your walking, you were blind by the sun
We hit it off right away – right from day one

We’ve danced, we’ve talked, we have plenty to joke
As our feelings grew bigger, they welled up like smoke

Our lives moving forward, still learning each other
Keeping alive our interests, so we each do not smother

My thoughts reaffirm as you’re driving me home
I’m so happy I found you at Plenty-of-Fish.com

Poem 13

Most will never experience. The feelings I have for you.
Its simply pure and natural. To love you like I do.
Everytime I hear your voice. I smile from ear to ear.
And when I'm not with you. How I wish to have you near.
Its these forgotten feelings. I often thought that have long died.
But havin you in my life. Has made my heart truly come alive.
I look forward to starting over. With the one I'm so much in love.
You are such a beautiful gift. Sent to me from above.
So my gift to you my darling. Are but a few words to start.
I will love you always and forever. And you shall always have my heart.

Poem 14

My Rock
Change is all around us,
The possibilities never end.
I no longer face them alone,
For, I married my best friend.

He is always with me,
Through the bad times and the good.
We walk side by side,
Like a married couple should.

We live each day together,
Enjoying our precious life.
Always and forever,
I will be honored to be his wife.

Poem 15

Love is strong and solid as stone,
As though the stone is my dad
Love is loose and flowing as water,
As though the water is my mom
As if they fight against one another
But together they work as one.
They make there own way if blocked
Water works with rocks to make a path
To make the flow strong to fight
Fight when they are blocked,
Love is strong and loose
Love always sticks together,
As like my mother and father.

Poem 16

Free Love
As I think of a way,
to depict this poetic art,
I feel its best to speak
from the purest part
of this cowboys heart.

Your eyes shine love in all aspects,
In which it can be told.
One which withstands,
my imperfections.
And its worth is more precious,
than a pharoah's priceless gold.

Your smile and touch are as pure,
As a warm Wyoming rain.
Its peaceful comfort gently washes away,
My uncertainties, sadness, and pain.

So I script this for you in honor,
of loves sacred day of celebration.
You are my souls counter-part.
My hearts liberation.

Poem 17

My Valentine
We saw love come and we saw love go
Moved on with life with kids in tow
Raised them up and watched them go
Alone again with just my friends
How did I know life was about to begin
Middle age and thinking for me true love would not come at this late date
When a mutual friend set us up on a blind date
We didn't know we would meet our soul mate
The first two years were full of love and fun and dates
Then he ask me to be his life mate
He bought me a ring
And oh how it made my heart sing
Three years of wedded bliss oh it was the best
Then our love was put to the test
It always came out above the rest
And I know now I have the best
Soon we will move into year ten
And he still stands by me through thick and thin
And I always want to be with only him
And so I say to you and I don't jest
I will Love him until the day I am put to rest
And he will be my Valentine until the end of time

As I think of a way,
to depict this poetic art,
I feel its best to speak
from the purest part
of this cowboys heart.

Your eyes shine love in all aspects,
In which it can be told.
One which withstands,
my imperfections.
And its worth is more precious,
than a pharoah's priceless gold.

Your smile and touch are as pure,
As a warm Wyoming rain.
Its peaceful comfort gently washes away,
My uncertainties, sadness, and pain.

So I script this for you in honor,
of loves sacred day of celebration.
