At about 8 p.m. Wednesday night, a Gillette Police Officer spoke to a woman who said her children, ages 4 to 12, had taken some vegetables from a neighbor’s garden. The neighbor said he saw the children roll a wagon with fresh picked vegetable out of his garden. The children allegedly then went to his door and tried to sell them to him.
The woman told police she offered to give the man three dollars for the vegetables. The man refused and told police he believes the vegetable picking has been going on for a while, and estimated about $100 for the losses.
