This morning the Campbell County Commissioners selected Troy Mader as the new representative for House District 52, replacing the Rep. Sue Wallis who passed away late last month.
The interview process began at 8:15 am. Each of the three remaining candidates were given about twenty questions from the commissioners. Following an executive session it was announced that four of the five commissioners supported Troy Mader. Chairman Mark Chistensen cast his vote for Janet Mader.
Troy Mader is involved in ranching and real estate management. He is also the Research Director of the Abundant Wildlife Society. Commissioner Matt Avery said Mader told the commissioners he was prepared to head to Cheyenne today to join the legislative session that began this morning.
