Hillcrest will host "Lights On Afterschool" event

  On October 18th, more than one million people are expected to participate in more than 7,500 events that take place in cities and towns across the country and on United States military bases worldwide as part of the 13th annual Lights on Afterschool.  On this day, communities will raise awareness of the importance of afterschool programs and the positive role they play. 

Studies have shown that children participating in afterschool programs demonstrate increased school attendance and enhanced academic achievement.  Afterschool programs also reduce juvenile offending, while promoting public safety and positive child development.

Come to the Hillcrest Elementary School on Oct 18th from 5pm to 7pm and celebrate the importance of afterschool programs in Campbell County, gather information on different afterschool programs for your children, share a meal with your family, and have a great time with Fun on the Go.
