Suspects Not As Slick As Weather Conditions

ccso2 At about 9 am on November 11th the Campbell County Sheriff's Office responded to Dove Court for a burglary report.  Suspects had entered a vehicle shop through an open window and took alcohol and tobacco products.  Sheriff's Deputy Marlene Sharpe said the investigation did not take very long. Time stamped photos from a game camera set up in the area showed the suspects entered the shop at about 11:30 pm on November 10th. Making things worse for the suspects were their footprints left in the snow, which allowed a deputy the follow the footprints right to the house of one of the suspects.  The deputy got consent to search the residence and collected stolen items.  Two 18 year old males were arrested as suspects for that felony crime.

In a separate incident a 20 year old man was given a citation for a hit and run on Robin Drive.  The man was apparently driving too fast for road conditions and slid into a post.  Its believed the suspect fled the area but failed to retrieve his licences plate.  A neighbor collected the plate and called authorities. After a deputy had responded to take the report, the suspect was spotted returning in his vehicle; presumably to look for the licence plate.  The man was issued a citation a short time later.
