Authorities have arrested a 19-year-old Lolo, Montana man for making threats against Twin Spruce Junior High School in Gillette. Gillette Police Lieutenant Brent Wasson told local media on December 27th the investigation began on the evening of December 20th, after a 16 year old male reported activity on Facebook that had him concerned.

Wasson said the suspect had posted comments threatening to "shoot up" Twin Spruce Junior High where his cousin attends school. Wasson said that the Missoula County Sheriff's Office was contacted for assistance in the investigation. After interviewing the 19 year old suspect, Missoula authorities decided to pursue charges related to the investigation. Wengren was arrested Friday and charged with disorderly conduct. The misdemeanor is punishable by 10 days in jail and/or a $100 fine.
Gwen Florio of the Missoulian reports that an affidavit says Wengren admitted making the threats but told authorities he was only joking. Wengren's mother reportedly also told authorities there are no guns in their home and that neither she nor her son owns a gun.
