Juvenile Flees From Custody

A little after 10 am yesterday morning, a seventeen-year-old female fled from the custody of the Campbell County Sheriffs Office. Campbell County Sheriff, Bill Pownall said the female had been transported for a medical appointment and fled a local doctor's office.

Pownall said it’s believed the juvenile fled to the south and may have climbed a fence and spent some time hiding underneath the Burma overpass. The escapee turned up at a business on South Burma Ave about 40 minutes later. She was taken into custody, Pownall said the incident is under investigation.
