Yesterday (5-07-13), the Gillette police department responded to an accident involving a bicycle and a motorist. Police Lieutenant Brent Wasson goes over the unique details:
“At about 8:33 last night, officers responded to the area of Fourth Avenue and Fir Court, to the report of a vehicle crash. The investigation revealed that a 17 year-old boy had been driving a 2005 Pontiac, and pulling a bicycle ridden by a 15 year-old boy that was attached to the vehicle by a 3-foot rope.”
Wasson said that while the bicyclist was being pulled by the automobile, he lost control and landed in the roadway, and received multiple abrasions to multiple parts of his body.
“…and a possible head injury. It was reported that he lost consciousness after hitting the pavement. He was transported to the emergency room, and charges of careless driving are pending.”
