Smoke in the Air

As you step outside in Gillette today, you will likely noticed a fresh smoky smell in the air.  Although Campbell Count Firefighters were very busy yesterday battling numerous blazes, personnel at the Campbell County Sheriff's Office Dispatch Center said at five am this morning there were no significant firefights going on in Campbell County.

Firefighters are still on scene in the Recluse area monitoring a fire from Thursday, but the smoky haze filling the air in Gillette is likely from outside Campbell County.
