At little after 8 PM last night, a 38 year old Gillette woman observed that a vehicle had driven through a fence in the Sleepy Hollow Subdivision. The woman made contact with a 46 year old female who said her vehicle was stuck after the incident. That 46 year old also allegedly asked for the woman's help to avoid "again" being arresting for driving while under the influence.
Unfortunately for that 46 year old female, the 38 year old woman was an off duty Campbell County Sheriff's Deputy. On duty deputies arrived and conducted an investigation. Captain Roy Seeman said the suspect became combative while being placed under arrest for driving while under the influence and began to kick at deputies and slam her own head into a patrol vehicle. The suspect is also accused of remaining combative at the detention center and this time "connected" with a kick to a detention officer's groin. That incident resulted in a additional change to go with several misdemeanors, this one a felony charge of inflicting bodily injury on an officer.
Personnel at the Sheriff's Office said the suspect has prior arrests for driving while under the influence and was arrested earlier this week for an incident of public intoxication.
