At yesterday's Campbell County Commissioners meeting, the commissioners adopted the fiscal year 2013/14 budget. Commissioners chairman, Dan Coolidge was pleased with the process.

The Gillette Police Department continues to investigate a report from a 13-year-old boy that he may have been the target of an attempted abduction on Friday night. Lt. At last night's Gillette City Council meeting the council had a public hearing to take comment on an ordinance to establish hours of sale for all liquor licenses from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day. After no member of the public stepped forward to voice concern or support for the ordinance change, the council voted 6 to 1 in favor of the change. Before the ordinance vote was taken councilman Robin Kuntz let it be known he would not be supporting the change. On July 9th, 2013, The Campbell County Fire Department responded to the 1700 block of Hilltop Dr. for a mobile home that flipped onto a storage shed due to high winds at approximately 4:30 p.m. The home was not currently occupied.
