Updated: High Speed Pursuit Leads to Life Flight

25Updated: A high speed pursuit involving Johnson County Sheriffs Deputies Wednesday morning resulted in at least one person being life flighted to the hospital.

 

The high speed chase began around 10am Wednesday in Buffalo after a gold SUV was reported to have hit a fence at a local convenience store. Buffalo PD responded to the call, and discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen from Billings, MT.

  

The driver, a young male juvenile, refused to stop, and instead fled at a high rate of speed  southbound onto I25, where Johnson County Sheriffs Deputies joined the pursuit. Alternating between the north and south bound lanes of the highway at speeds in excess of 100 mph. The driver exited I25 at the Reno Road exit, heading west about 2 miles before losing control, flipping the vehicle multiple times.

  

Both occupants of the vehicle, one of which was not wearing a seatbelt, were transported  to Johnson County Health Care Center where a spokesperson there could not comment on their condition.
