CHEYENNE - On Tuesday, June 18, Governor Matt Mead’s Inquiry Team submitted its independent review of the Wyoming Department of Education in Cheyenne.
The audit was released to the public and can be found at http://audit.state.wy.us/PFUNDS/stateagencies.asp
In response to the release of the Governor’s Inquiry Team report and the subsequent media coverage, Dr. Jim Rose, Interim Director of the Wyoming Department of Education released the following statement.
"We understand the release of the Inquiry Team's findings is a necessary step in the evolution of the Wyoming Department of Education, but it is also a difficult period for the staff at the WDE. We appreciate the coverage in the media and support the work of the press, but we do ask that inquiries to individual staff be made only as absolutely necessary to minimize interruptions to the important work going on.
“I will continue to make myself available at all times to respond to your questions. I appreciate your consideration. Thank you.”
