Buffalo-The Wyoming Game and Fish Department has decided to temporarily close the Bud Love Wildlife Habitat Management Area (WHMA) west of Buffalo, due to a wild fire. The United States Forest Service is staging firefighters on the Bud Love to fight the Gilead Fire.
Seth Roseberry, Sheridan Habitat and Access Coordinator says, “With the high number of firefighters, engines, helicopters, and other resources utilizing the Bud Love as a staging area we decided it was safest for all involved to temporarily close the WHMA until the extreme fire activity is reduced.”
The area will reopen to the public as soon as the Bud Love safety concern is eliminated.
