The Campbell County High School Girls’ basketball team fell to 7-4, Friday night as they were beaten, 56-30, by Natrona County in Casper.
The Fillies got a game-high 18 points from Kaylee Johnson, the two-time defending Wyoming Gatorade Player of the Year, as she returned from injury, and came off the bench in the second quarter.
The Lady Camels trailed by just three, after one quarter of play, but Johnson’s presence in the game seemed to turn the tide, and Gillette managed just three points in the second period, and two points in the third.
The Lady Camels will look to bounce back, this Friday, at home against Rapid City Central. You can hear that game on Fox Country 100.7 FM and basinsradio.com, with coverage underway at 7:15.
