As Head Coach Mike Curry said after the game, "disappointment is an understatement," as the Gillette Camels (23-3) were upset in the Semifinals of the 4A State Tournament by Riverton 69-63.
The Gillette Lady Camels (20-6) used a huge 2nd half to take down Natrona County (22-4) 54-44 at the Casper Events Center on Friday night to advance to the 4A State Title game against Cheyenne East on Saturday.
Head Coach Mike Curry said that it wasn't their best game of the year, but the Gillette Camels (23-2) were still able to advance to the 4A State Semifinals with a dominating 67-23 win over Rock Springs (11-16) at Casper College Thursday night.
It might not have been the prettiest game, but the Gillette Lady Camels (19-6) advanced to their 21st straight 4A State semifinal with their 40-16 win over Evanston (10-17) at Casper College.

At the 2013 Wyoming High School State Indoor track and field meet at the Rec Center this weekend the Lady Camels improved on last season’s runner up finish as they brought home the State Title with 129 team points, 62 more than 2nd place Kelly Walsh. For the Camels they ended up in 2nd place with 72 points, 27 behind team Champion Kelly Walsh.
The Gillette Lady Camels (18-6) were unable to hold onto an early lead against Sheridan (22-2) in the 4A East Regional Title Game on Saturday as the Lady Broncs prevailed 54-38 at the Castle of Chaos.
