GILLETTE, Wyo.--The Gillette College Pronghorn women (5-1) were able to get their fifth win on the season by taking an early lead against McCook Community College and never looking back. The final was 73-52 from the South Campus.
Alicia Carline got hot fast in the first half. She sank four doubles and went nine for 13 from the charity stripe to get the offense going for Gillette College. Carline finished with 13 boards, as well. The Pronghorns as a team went 12 for 17 from the free throw line, which propelled them to a healthy lead at 34-24 by halftime.
Chelsie Pitt and Bridget Cargal put up two three-pointers each in the second half with Kallee Wilson and Whitney George taking care of business down low.
Late in the game, Chelsea Ullery came off the bench to force four fouls in about a three-minute period. She took advantage of her opportunities from the charity stripe by sinking five of her eight attempts.
