Pronghorn women suffer second loss of season

The #13 Gillette College Pronghorn women (13-2) had trouble finding the basket, as they lost for only the second time this season on Friday night. This time it was to the Sheridan College Lady Generals (11-4), 81-51, at the Golden Dome in Sheridan, Wyoming.

The Pronghorns made only 27 percent of their shots from the field. Three of the five starters for Gillette College finished with two points or less in the game. Starter Chelsie Pitt led the Pronghorns with 20 points and Keke Wright, who also started, finished with 11 points. Even though the Pronghorns lost, Breanna Thomas kept with the norm of at least one Pronghorn player stepping up off the bench in every game. Thomas scored 11 points in the loss, as she went five for seven from the field and one for two from the line.

Milomilo Nanai of Sheridan College had the game-high of 23 points.

The Pronghorns are done with their 2012 portion of the season. Their next game will be on the road against Miles City Community College on Jan. 5th.
