WRIGHT, Wyo.--The Wright Panthers were able to get the lead on Senior Night against the Glenrock Herders, but the two-running back threat of Devon Parkinson and Kyle Lee was too much. The final was 39-13.
The Panthers scored on their first two drives of the game and even prevented the Herders from converting a fourth down in the first quarter-wright did that a second time in the second half, as well.
Kodi French had a 45-yard scamper down the far side of the field for the Panthers first touchdown, the two-point conversion was no good. On Wright's second drive, French found Brandon Collen in the shallow right corner of the end zone for a 30-yard reception; the extra point was successful.
After that, the Herders were the only team to get on the scoreboard.
The Panther offense was able to get into Herder territory on most drives, but would sputter out around the thirty. French was able to find Alex Ferguson in the air a couple times to keep drives alive and Daniel Magana had back-to-back receptions, too. However the Panthers just couldn't get back into the redzone.
The Herders Tyler Olson attempted one pass in the whole game, which was incomplete. Glenrock ran for an unofficial 276 yards.
Wright will play its final game of the season on the road against the Moorcroft Wolves. The kickoff is set for 2pm with the Big D in Wright Pregame Show starting at 1:45pm. You can hear the game on 101.5 The Drive and online at https://network1sports.com/station/kddv.
