Being born and raised in good ol' Gillette has made me somewhat of a novelty, or so I'm told! I graduated from Campbell County High School and other than a few months in Laramie and in Sheridan, I have lived here all my life. Daughter of a coal miner and surrounded by a great group of family and friends Gillette has been my home for...an undisclosed number of years! It's been an interesting road on my journey to end up here at Basin Radio Network. My first job in radio was back in 1995 for 1270 AM KIML when it was country radio! Spent three years spinning records (actually played some vinyl then!) until I moved on to try other things. I had two kids, graduated from Gillette College with an Associates Degree in Secondary Education and the University of Wyoming with a Bachelors Degree in Social Science (which qualified me to be a waitress...or an on-air personality) and worked at a wide variety of interesting jobs. You might call me a jack of all trades, master of none! I climbed communication towers, drove truck, waited tables, did office work, you name it! But my heart always belonged to radio. I joined Fox Country 100.7 in July 2010 as Afternoon Drive host. In July 2011 an opportunity for me to wake up before any normal person ever should arose when I was offered the Morning Show slot on 100.5 The Drive. A bit of a night owl it has taken some adjustment for sure! It's no joke when you hear me say I am waking up with all of you, but it sure makes for some interesting morning radio! It is my first time playing anything other than country music and I am lovin' it! I love playing the classic tunes and yacking with my awesome listeners! Thanks for waking up with me and letting me keep you company every morning!

  • By the mid ‘70s, Ray Davies was so immersed in theatrical rock operas, he probably hadn’t noticed that he had lost all but the most devoted of the Kinks’ fans. The band’s string of albums in the first half of the decade was steady and, for the most part, forgettable: ‘Everybody’s in Show-Biz,’ the two-act [...]
