Campbell County Medical Group to host Diabetes Seminar

Press Release – Campbell County Medical Group (CCMG) Diabetes Education Center is hosting Living Well with Diabetes, a free educational seminar on Wednesday, November 7 from 9 am-12:30 pm at the Campbell County Public Library Wyoming Room, 2101 S. 4-J Road.

Open to anyone impacted by diabetes, the seminar features speakers on a variety of topics centered around diabetes. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions after each session.

“This is a great opportunity for people with diabetes to learn about the latest research and medications available,” said Melissa Gorsuch, RN, Diabetes Educator. “It’s also a way for newly diagnosed people, or people who have been living with diabetes for a while, to get some tips and new motivation to take better control of their health.”

Topics include: Diabetes ABCs, by Dr. Thomas Repas, CCMG Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism; Diabetes, Hypertension and Kidney Disease, by Dr. Robert Neuwirth, CCMG Nephrology and Complex Medicine; and Healthy Eating for Diabetes, by Heidi Gillette, RD, LD, Campbell County Health Registered Dietitian. Heidi will also present a “Cooking with Pumpkin” demonstration.
