Black Jewel, LLC Fails Latest Attempt At Chapter 11

K2 Radio.com in Casper is reporting, Black Jewel, LLC has failed at it’s latest attempt to pursue debt reorganization under Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. A federal bankruptcy judge in West Virginia made the ruling this morning. Although it wasn’t clear it appeared the judge in that case left door open just a crack advising, “I do not believe you have exhausted all available alternatives, and I say that not only as debtor-in-possession, but to everyone I have heard from today, so I would encourage you in the hours through the evening or the morning now as they transpire to continue your discussion,”
Whether this signaled more time to find a solution, or whether it’s on to Chapter 7 liquidation is not clear.
