Here’s another sports update on the Basin Radio Network.

Good morning, and happy Thursday.

The American Legion Northwest Regional continued Wednesday in Medford, Oregon.

Kennewick, Washington, defeated Kenai, Alaska, 13-3.

Honolulu, Hawaii, shut out the Cheyenne Post Sixers, 12-0. The Sixers were also held without a hit in their opening game of the tournament.

Lewiston, Idaho, earned a 2-0 victory over the Portland Barbers.

In the final game of the day, the Medford Mustangs defeated the Missoula Mavericks, 13-3.

Two elimination games are scheduled for Thursday. Kenai will face Portland at 9 a.m. The Cheyenne Post Sixers will then play Missoula 30 minutes after the conclusion of the Kenai-Portland game.

In the evening session, Kennewick will face Lewiston at 6 p.m. Honolulu will take on Medford 30 minutes after the conclusion of that game.

The adjusted schedule is due to heat advisories in Medford.

Moving to Major League Baseball, the Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Houston Astros, 5-4.

The Chicago Cubs beat the Los Angeles Dodgers, 7-6.

The Texas Rangers shut out the San Francisco Giants, 6-0.

The Tampa Bay Rays blanked the Colorado Rockies, 4-0.

The Baltimore Orioles defeated the Los Angeles Angels, 5-2.

The Cincinnati Reds beat the Athletics, 3-2.

The New York Mets defeated the Cleveland Guardians, 6-5.

The St. Louis Cardinals beat the New York Yankees, 3-1.

The Washington Nationals defeated the Philadelphia Phillies, 10-4.

The Boston Red Sox shut out the Chicago White Sox, 4-0.

The Atlanta Braves defeated the Miami Marlins, 4-1.

The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Pittsburgh Pirates, 4-2.

The Kansas City Royals defeated the Minnesota Twins, 2-1.

The Seattle Mariners beat the Detroit Tigers, 4-2.

The Arizona Diamondbacks defeated the San Diego Padres, 10-4.
