Gun Drawn in Gillette Apartment Fight, Two Taken Into Custody GILLETTE, WY–Two men were arrested Thursday morning following a violent altercation outside a Gillette apartment. According to Gillette Police Captain Kelly Alger, officers were called around 4:00 a.m. to a residence on Boxelder Road after a 22-year-old woman reported an assault. The woman told police she was at her apartment with two 29-year-old men when her ex-boyfriend, also 22, arrived with his 21-year-old friend, Collin Worley. She said the two became angry upon finding the men inside, leading to a confrontation. One of the 29-year-old men stepped outside and prevented the pair from entering, and a fight broke out between the three men. During the altercation, the second 29-year-old came outside to intervene but was tackled by the ex-boyfriend and continued to be assaulted on the ground. Alger said Worley then pulled a handgun from his waistband and struck one of the men on the side of the head, causing a severe laceration to his ear and knocking him to the ground. After the fight stopped, Worley briefly pointed the gun at the two men before lowering it. The woman came outside during the incident, activating a taser and yelling for the men to stop and that she had called the police. The two suspects then fled the scene. One of the victims was treated at the emergency room for the injury to his ear. Police located both men a few hours later at a residence and they initially refused to exit. Both were taken into custody. Worley was arrested on two counts of aggravated assault and interference with a police officer. The 22-year-old ex-boyfriend was arrested for interference, with additional charges pending.
