Local Dealership to Host District Pinewood Derby

Press Release – White’s Frontier Motors has generously agreed to sponsor the District Pinewood Derby for local Cub Scout Packs and their families. “We are very grateful to White’s Frontier Motors for their annual support of this event and continued commitment to support Scouting in our community,” says Candace Crimm, District Executive for Chocadewakoa. “Their generous support supplies the event venue, trophies for race winners and the continuation of a long standing scouting tradition.”
Since 1953, one of the major highlights of the Cub Scout year is the Pinewood Derby. Cub Scouts and their parents work together to design and create one-of-a-kind vehicles out of simple blocks of wood. Once complete, the Scouts race each other for great prizes and great fun!
The District Pinewood Derby is open to all scouts, community members and business owners, with special races for each group. The event will be held Saturday, April 8th at White’s Frontier Motors.
