Campbell County Sheriff’s Office Lends a Hand in Double Homicide

On March 6, 2017, Campbell County Sheriff’s Office assisted Riverside County, California Sheriff’s Office Homicide Investigator. Riverside Investigators used Campbell County Sheriff’s Office interview rooms to interview two homicide suspects, Tamara Barker(age23) and Malick Harris(age 24), who were later arrested for the murder of their 23 month old child which had occurred approximately one year ago in Riverside County, California.
Gillette Police Lieutenant Chuck Deaton said the Gillette Police Department located the suspects living on the 300 block of East Boxelder Road. He said the suspects had active warrants out of Califonia for Child Abuse Resulting in Death. Deaton said the GPD also assisted in a search warrant application and search of the residence. He said they were taken into custody without incident.
Campbell County Undersheriff Quintin Reynolds said the suspects were fighting extradition and being held on $150,000 each cash only bond.
