Eclipse Trip to Buttes CANCELLED

Press Release – The Campbell County Rockpile Museum regrets to announce that our tentative trip to the Pumpkin Buttes for the Great American Eclipse on August 21st has been officially cancelled.
Museum Director Robert Henning stated that “due to unforeseen circumstances and an inability to come to an agreement on access, we are unable to provide a trip to the Buttes this summer. We apologize to those interested in the trip and will work hard to plan a trip for the summer of 2018.”
Henning encourages anyone interested in viewing the eclipse here in Campbell County to take part in the Energy Capital Eclipse Festival viewing party at CAM-PLEX. He also stated that the Rockpile Museum gift shop has the official eclipse festival glasses for sale for anyone needing viewing glasses for eye protection.
