Conditions Keep CCFD Busy

The Campbell County Fire Department responded to the following incidents:

July 23, 2017

2:06 p.m. timber fire N Highway 59 Windmill Fire. Crews remain on scene. Estimated at 2,000 acres

 

Starting at 9:00 p.m. firefighters responded to the following timber and grass fires which differed in size (each still to be reported) and all caused by the passing storm. Listed below is a very brief description of each fire. The following agencies and resources are currently assisting CCFD; Road and Bridge, BLM, Forest Service, State hand crews, helicopter, Air Attack and 2 Single Engine Air Tankers (SEATs). No injuries have been reported as of this morning.

Haight Road and HWY 59 Fire

Moore Road Fires – multiple

Van Buggnenum Road Fire

Clarkelen Road Fire – multiple

The Margaret’s Draw Fire on the Collins Road. (still on scene)

Adon Road Fire – Approx. 30 acres

Taylor Road Fire with a burning power pole

Lawver Road Fire

Cedar Draw III Fire – N HWY 59 in Burnt Hollow. (still on scene)

Motorcross Track – apprx 5 acres

SA Road Fire- (still on scene)

60 Bar Ranch-power pole and grass fire
