Water Main Break Impacts Lakeway Road

Press Release – The City of Gillette Water Division is responding to a water main break on Lakeway Road. The road is closed between Powder Basin Avenue and Fern Street (near Bloedorn Lumber). The road will be closed until August 11th for repairs. There is no through traffic on Lakeway Road from Highway 59 to 4-J Road. Access to businesses in the area is being maintained.
At approximately 10:45 p.m. (Tues), a large water main break was reported near the location of Big O Tires on the corner of Lakeway and Powder Basin Avenue. Initial reports state that a 12″ main valve failed. We will have more information as the investigation continues.
