Press Release – Join us September 16 for a memorial run/walk, followed by a BBQ, in memory of: Justin Lambert-Belanger, Morgan McLeland, Cody Brown, Kyle Johnson, Josh Jones, Kevin Salverson, Nick Schabron, and Shane Shatto.

“This memorial run is a wonderful way for people to honor our eight former Cowboys,” said current University of Wyoming cross country coach Randy Cole. “The people of Gillette have put a lot of effort into organizing this event, and we encourage people to support this worthwhile tribute to the memory of these young men.”

What: 8-Mile Figure 8 Loop Run or 5K Walk/Run

Time: Registration starts at  9:00 a.m. Races start at 10:30 a.m. BBQ and social after the races.

Registration: There is no registration fee! However, donations are welcome. Shirts & hats will be available for purchase. You can register on the day of the event from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Arts and Sciences from Timmins, Ontario, and a transfer student
from Campbell University. Awarded a Western Heritage Scholarship.

• One of the team’s top mid-distance runners
• Four-time all-state selection and two-time state champion

• 3-time all-state selection in cross country at Campbell County HS
• Wyoming state champion in cross country senior year
• Set course record at 2000 state championships
