Press Release – The Gillette City Council has named Public Works Director Sawley Wilde as the new interim City Administrator for the City of Gillette. Director Wilde has been with the City of Gillette since 1990. He was a member of the Gillette Police Department until his appointment as Public Works Director in 2013. “I look forward to the opportunity to lead the City of Gillette organization. We have an experienced staff to help keep the City running at peak efficiency,” said Director Wilde.

“The City Council would like to thank Director Wilde for stepping into the role of interim City Administrator while we continue to discuss how we will move forward in a search for a permanent replacement,” said Mayor Louise Carter-King. “We would also like to thank Patrick Davidson for his time as interim City Administrator.”

Patrick Davidson will be returning to his role as City Attorney due to an anticipated increase in legal issues affecting the City this fall. “I have enjoyed my time as the interim City Administrator. I appreciate the support of the Council and employees. Because of the legal challenges on the horizon for the City, it is imperative that I devote my time to the City Attorney’s Office,” Davidson stated.

Public Works Director Sawley Wilde will begin as interim City Administrator effective October 1st.
