Quarter Penny Tax Forums

Press Release – The League of Women voters will host two public informational forums concerning the Quarter Penny Sales Tax. The Gillette forum will be Monday, September 25, from 6:30 to 8 PM in the Gillette City Council Chambers of City Hall in Gillette, at 201 E. 5th Street. A similar forum will be held at Wright Town Hall, 201 Wright Blvd in Wright, on Monday, October 9, from 6:30 to 8 PM. The forums are free, and the public is invited to participate and take an active part in their government.
Participants who want to speak to either side of the quarter penny sales tax issue may present for two minutes or less at the opening of the forum. The order of the speakers will be determined by a sign-in process. Questions and comments from the public will be addressed by a guest panel.
