Notice of Vacancy in the Office of County Treasurer

Press Release – In accordance with state law, the Chairman of the Campbell County Republican Party has called a meeting of the Campbell County Republican Central Committee to be held on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 6 p.m. at the Council Chambers at City Hall for the purpose of the selection the names of three (3) persons qualified to fill the vacancy in the office of County Treasurer for Campbell County, Wyoming caused by the death of Campbell County Treasurer Becky Brazelton. By law, that list will then be forwarded to the Board of County Commissioners of Campbell County for appointment of one (1) of the three (3) to fill the Vacancy.

Any bona fide resident of Wyoming who is registered in Campbell County to vote as a Republican may apply to the Campbell County Republican Party Central Committee for consideration to fill the vacancy. Any person qualified to fill the vacancy and wishing to be considered for selection to the list of three (3) persons from which the appointment shall be made by the Board of County Commissioners of Campbell County is asked to apply. Applicants must include the following: a letter expressing interest in being considered; and a resume and/or any other information that the person wishes to have considered as a part of his or her application for consideration. The resume or other information shall not exceed a total of three (3) pages. Applications shall be submitted to Douglas Gerard, Chairman of Campbell County Republican Party by mail to PO Box 1252, Gillette, Wyoming, 82717 or by personal delivery to the Campbell County Elections Office located in the Campbell County Courthouse, 500 S. Gillette Avenue, Suite 1602, Gillette, Wyoming. These materials must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 to be considered.

All applications received shall be considered public information and shall be distributed without limitation.

In addition, applicants shall provide fifty (50) copies at the Campbell County Republican Central Committee meeting at which applicants will be considered on November 2, 2017.
