COUNCILMAN KEVIN MCGRATH ANNOUNCES RESIGNATION

Press Release – Councilman Kevin McGrath has resigned his seat on the Gillette City Council. His last day on the Council was Monday, November 13th. Councilman McGrath began representing Ward 1 in 2009.

“I am resigning my seat on the Gillette City Council for personal reasons,” said McGrath. “I will need to travel extensively in the near future and I will not be able to serve those that elected me. I believe it is in the best interests of my constituents in Ward 1 to have a representative that can devote the necessary time and energy. I would like to thank the citizens of Gillette and Ward 1 for the honor of representing you on the City Council.”

“We on the Council would like to thank Councilman McGrath for his service to the citizens of Gillette. During his 8 years representing Ward 1, he has always had their best interest at heart,” said Mayor Louise Carter-King. “We wish him the best in his future endeavors.”

The City Council will formally accept his resignation at a Special Meeting on Tuesday, November 14th at 6 p.m. The process to select a replacement will be discussed, as well.
