Interim City Administrator Wilde Steps Down, Will Return to Public Works

Press Release – Interim City Administrator Sawley Wilde has decided to step down and return to his former position as Director of Public Works. Interim Administrator Wilde has been with the City of Gillette since 1990. “I would like to thank the City Council for the opportunity to lead this organization as City Administrator,” said Wilde. “This is strictly a personal decision. At this point in my career, I believe a return to Public Works is the right choice. I have made this decision with much thought and consideration for what it would mean to the Council, the City organization, and my family.”

“The City Council would like to thank Sawley Wilde for his time as City Administrator,” said Mayor Louise Carter King. “His strong leadership and desire to improve the City has been a great asset. While we will miss him in his role as Administrator, but it is a relief knowing we will still have his talents in the Public Works Department.”

Mr. Wilde’s last day as Interim Administrator will be Friday, November 17th. City Attorney Pat Davidson will resume the role of Interim Administrator at that time. Attorney Davidson has been with the City of Gillette since 2014 and previously served in the role of Interim City Administrator when Carter Napier resigned.
