Library System Partnering with Wyoming State Parks, Historic Sites and Trails
Written by broebling on January 9, 2018
Press Release – Participating libraries across Wyoming, including Campbell County Public Library (CCPL) and Wright Branch Library (WBL), are partnering with Wyoming State Parks to provide youth and families with the opportunity to visit and experience Wyoming’s state parks, historic sites and trails at no cost. The program, Check-Out State Parks Library Program: Check Out a Parks Pass and Backpack at Wyoming Libraries, begins January 15 in Campbell County and runs throughout 2018.
Wyoming State Parks has provided CCPL and WBL with backpacks that are available to check out for two weeks at a time. Backpacks contain a day-use park pass and educational materials to inspire adventure: pocket guides to identify Wyoming birds, wildlife, trees and wildflowers, critters, weather, and geology; a compass; a bug box; binoculars; a magnifying glass; and a Wyoming State Parks’ Visitor’s Guide.
Wyoming is rich in recreational opportunities and this program seeks to encourage Wyoming citizens to visit state parks and engage with the outdoors in our beautiful state. Plan your trip and check out a backpack from CCPL or WBL because “adventure starts here” at your library!
For more information, contact CCPL at 687-0009 or WBL at 464-0500.
