Yellowstone National Park planners are proposing to replace 172 windows of the iconic Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel, a project preservationists fear could harm the building’s historic character. The window swap is just one part of a building rehabilitation project that includes redoing floor plans and interior finishes, replacing hot water and electrical systems, and adding insulation. The public is being asked to comment on the issue by Feb. 16.
