Gurley Overpass Closure

Press Release – The Gurley Overpass will be closed from May 29th through August 16th. The reason for this closure is for repairs to the deck surface. This will be a complete closure of the overpass.
The overpass will not open at night or on weekends as it did last year for the Barrier Rehabilitation project. During that project, the deck surface was tested and it was determined that a complete surface replacement was necessary to extend the life of the structure.
There will be second closure in September for an epoxy overlay to be applied once the new deck surface has had time to cure. This is scheduled for September 3rd through September 18th. The second closure schedule will be adjusted pending completion of the deck surface repairs.
* A previous press release stated that the closure ended August 10th. That has been amended to August 16th.
