CCFD Frees Child From Swing

 Press Release – The Campbell County Fire Department responded to the following incidents on June 27, 2018 

At 05:19 a.m. to Running W Drive for an emergency medical response.  Firefighters provided manpower while on scene.

 

At 10:57 a.m. to 2501 South Garner Lake Road for an emergency medical response. Fire units canceled their response prior to arrival.

 

At 11:05 a.m. to 2300 South Douglas Highway for the report of a vehicle versus pedestrian collision. Firefighters provided medical care to the patient on scene.

 

At 2:02 PM to mile marker 144 eastbound Interstate 90 for the report of a vehicle fire. Upon arrival CCFD personnel found a utility truck with heavy fire involvement to the engine and passenger compartments. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

 

At 8:06 p.m. to the intersection of S Brooks Avenue and 2nd Street for a collision between a passenger vehicle and motorcycle.  Firefighters provided medical care to multiple patients on scene and stabilized vehicles.

 

At 9:03 p.m. to Denver Avenue for a report of a child who was entrapped in an infant style swing at a park.  Firefighters successfully extricated the child from the swing without damaging equipment or harming the patient.  The child was assessed by CCH EMS personnel.

 

Year to date the Campbell County Fire Department has responded to 999 requests for service.
