EMS University Planning Committee announces call for speakers

Press Release – The Campbell County Health EMS University (EMSU) planning committee is accepting proposals for speakers. EMS University is a continuing education conference for emergency medical technicians, paramedics, first responders and industry safety personnel. EMSU attracts approximately 300 local and regional participants annually, and includes courses on best practice and relevant approaches to basic life support and advanced life support. The 2019 conference takes place on April 11-13 in Gillette, Wyoming.
Conference programming includes multiple one-hour breakout sessions and several general sessions. Courses should be applicable to prehospital emergency care and include emerging trends, practical strategies for improvement, case studies and tangible implementation tools. Attendees express great preference for presentations that have real world references.
Proposals must include:
- Name, credentials, background
- Digital photo (300 dpi preferred)
- Brief biography to be used for marketing purposes
- Content and learning objectives
- Topics and learning objectives including descriptions and classifications
- Presentation availability: one, two or all three days
- Presentation length: appropriate for one-hour breakout session or longer general session
- Speaking fees and other costs
Proposal submission and content timeline:
- Submission window: October 1-November 30, 2018
- Notification of acceptance: January 4, 2019
- Handouts and presentations due: March 8, 2019
- Conference dates: April 11-13, 2019
