LOCAL ATHLETES GEAR UP FOR AREA IV SUMMER GAMES

NORTHEAST, WYOMING – Thursday April 11th & 12th Special Olympics Wyoming athletes from Wyoming’s northeastern communities of Crook County, Gillette, Newcastle, Sheridan and Buffalo will compete at Area IV Summer Games held in Gillette. This competition is in preparation for the State Summer Games that will be held in Laramie, WY on May 9-11, 2019. State Summer Games is one of the four Special Olympics Wyoming state competition events held each year. Athletes compete in Aquatics, Track & Field, Basketball and Powerlifting.

Thursday April 11, 2019
- 10:30 – 11:30 Opening Ceremony Campbell County Recreation Center Field House
- 11:30 – 12:30 Lunch
- 1:00 – 4:30 Basketball Campbell County Recreation Center BB Courts
- 6:00 – 9:00 Dinner and Dance South Campus Cafeteria and Commons
Friday April 12, 2019
- 9:00 – 12:30 Track and Field Campbell County Recreation Center Field House
