Barrasso Cosponsors Bipartisan Sanctions Bill Aimed at Stopping Construction of Russia’s Nord Stream 2 Pipeline

Tuesday, U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) joined Senators Ted Cruz (R-TX), Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) and Tom Cotton (R-AR) in introducing bipartisan legislation imposing sanctions on those involved in Russia’s Nord Stream 2 pipeline that would carry natural gas from Russia to Germany. The bill imposes targeted sanctions against vessels that would be used to construct deep sea pipelines for Russian energy export projects including Nord Stream 2. Read more at Sen.
