Written by on July 29, 2019

At a special budget meeting recently, the Campbell County School Board released the results of it’s armed educator online survey polling Campbell County residents on whether they support the concept of allowing some, specially trained educators to carry guns on school campus.

Deputy Superintendent, Kirby Eisenhauer said of the 1,249 Campbell County residents who responded to the survey this past June 76% said they support the idea. 18.5%, were against it. Roughly 6% said they need more information.

In 2017, Wyoming enacted a law enabling school districts to authorize a school employee with a concealed carry permit to carry a concealed firearm on or into school facilities or other areas designated by the board of trustees.
