The City of Gillette Curbside Yard Waste Pickup program will begin for the season on Wednesday, April 1st. Have your tan rollout to the curb by 7 a.m. on the same day as trash pickup. If you would like to participate in the Yard Waste Curbside Collection Program, contact Customer Service at 686-5206. The cost is $9.60 per month. The program runs from April through November.
Due to ongoing restrictions, the Yard Waste Drop-Off site will remain closed to the public for the next several weeks. We look forward to opening the facility to the public as soon as possible. The City of Gillette’s Yard Waste Drop-Off site is adjacent to the Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 3101 S. Garner Lake Road.
About the Curbside Yard Waste Program
The curbside collection of yard waste is an opt-in program where homeowners receive, on a voluntary basis, by subscription only, a 96-gallon tan roll-out to dispose of yard waste.
The tan Yard Waste roll-outs are for only the following: grass clippings, leaves, and woody materials (limbs, brush, and branches). No trash, sod, dirt, or sand should be placed in the roll-out. Please be careful to not overload the roll-out. The roll-out maximum capacity is 300 pounds. Also, the lid must be able to shut.
The Solid Waste division will service the containers weekly on the same day as trash is picked up. Materials collected curbside will be taken to the City of Gillette’s Yard Waste Drop-Off site which is adjacent to the Waste Water Treatment Plant located at 3101 S. Garner Lake Road.
