Layoff Aversion Grants
Wyoming Department of Workforce Services
Currently, they are at their limit for grant applications. The program went
live Friday and was designed to provide up to $5000 in support to businesses
looking to avoid layoffs. The Chamber contacted DWS Director Robin Cooley, who
said that currently they are going through the applications that were submitted
on Friday. Additional funding is being looked at for the program.

available, the Governor will announce that
publicly.

Here are some quick links to programs being initiated by the SBA after the
passage of the CARES Act:
- Do you need capital to cover the cost of retaining employees? The Paycheck Protection Program might be right for you.
- Do you need a quick infusion of a smaller amount of cash to cover you right now? You might want to look into an Emergency Economic Injury Grant.
- Do you need to ease your fears about keeping up with payments on your current or potential SBA loan? The Small Business Debt Relief Program could help.
If you are looking for additional guidance or counseling (for free), the
Small Business Development Center can help. Locally, you can contact Susan
Jerke for help.
