Boys & Girls Club Awarded Daniels Fund Grant

Press Release – The Boys & Girls Club of Campbell County is very pleased to announce that we have been awarded the requested $320,000 from the Daniels Fund, which in conjunction with funds contributed from the City, County at $50,000 each, and the Club itself, will finalize an incredible renovation of the building and grounds at 410 Lakeside Drive. We are so incredibly grateful to the Daniels Fund for their consideration and support of our Club and this community! The Club and Board of Directors would like to issue a special thanks to the City and County who each acted quickly and decisively, ensuring that we were able to get the grant request submitted in time for such rapid consideration. Without both the City and the County each contributing funds and being able to approve doing so as quickly as they did, we would not have been able to apply for this incredible opportunity. We would also like to thank the Campbell County United Way and specifically Executive Director Spring Wilkins who through her ongoing efforts to ensure our community’s nonprofits are funded, was instrumental in moving this grant forward. Finally, we would like to thank the incredible businesses and citizens of this community who over the past year have invested a great deal of time and money into revitalizing not only the building but this Club.
