Press Release – Robin Bailey is the recipient of the first Wyoming Volunteer of the Year Award from the Wyoming Hospital Association (WHA). The new award, presented at the WHA annual conference on September 5 in Laramie, recognizes the contributions that healthcare volunteers make to their organizations and communities.

Robin is a regular volunteer at Campbell County Health in Gillette, helping out at the Information Desk at Campbell County Memorial Hospital and volunteering with residents at The Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center—she also sits on The Legacy Advisory Board. At CCMH, Robin greets patients, arranges valet parking, gives directions to guests and patients, and helps with office needs. At The Legacy, Robin assists staff with bingo and crafts, serves lunches during special holidays, and takes residents to Wal-Mart to shop.

She also volunteers with the Campbell County Senior Center (CCSC), and is the chair of the Campbell County Senior Citizens Foundation Board. There, Robin serves lunches, greets, helps with mailings and serves on the Senior Center’s Election Forum Committee. Robin delivers food to school children for the nonprofit Blessings in a Backpack program, and helps NewLife Gillette Church with their Special Prom, an evening for those with disabilities.

“When Robin walks into our facility (The Legacy), the joy factor increases between the residents and Administration,” says Jonni Belden, RN, Vice President of Continuing Health Services. “She is a delight to work with, and she is so gentle and kind to all the residents. Each of our staff, volunteers and families know Robin by sight and by name.”
